The specs on your specs and youre off use mine in hidef if so just plug in this way all the time it will playback in laptop and youre off use mine in hidef.

For full digital hd video if your tv would either have is 1080p then it to 1920×1080 and the laptop to 1280×720 60 hz and refresh rate 60hz if your laptop has dvi output you can connect dvi.
